I have to confess something: I can't take 100% credit for discovering all the deals I find while shopping. I'll take about 90% and give the rest to the Stratus, because my car has a mind of its own sometimes. Today, for example, I was leaving Super Target in Roseville and before I knew it I was headed east on highway 36, rather than west on my way back home. I found myself at Marshall's near Maplewood Mall, and I ended up walking out with a Guess cotton sun dress, a black mesh tee shirt (cuter than it sounds; think Sweet Pea, not Stephen Pearcy), a neon green tank top (again, trust me), two pairs of shoes, and some Calvin Klein underwear, all for $90.00.
Not to be stopped, I ventured a bit further and found myself at For Love 21 at the MOA. Lo and behold, they're currently having a clearance sale on summer jewelry. I scored a necklace, three pairs of earrings, four bracelets, one set of metal bracelets, and a belt, all for $26.00.
One or both pairs of shoes could be featured on an upcoming Keep or Return, though. The leopard print flats are super cute, but possibly a smidge too small. And the gray mule-like heels are unlike any shoe I've ever owned, but I won't even know if I have anything to go with them until I drag out the fall/winter wardrobe.
If the flats don't fit, my vote will be "return or adjust" every time. Life is too short for uncomfortable footwear.
That said, if it's a question of width, I have had some luck using shoe stretchers. They take time, but better to use a chunk of wood to stretch the shoe out than your foot. Shoe stretchers don't feel pain.
