Minnesota Trivia
I'm almost back in the swing of things over here after a whirlwind weekend. Give me like one more day to return to regularly scheduled programming. In the meantime, I just found this Minnesota trivia quiz that you can take a stab at. The governor answer is outdated, but otherwise the correct answers are here. It's too easy for Minnesotans, but the geographically impaired out there might struggle a little bit.
#1 What is the stage name of former Duluth recording artist, Robert Zimmerman?
#2 What states border Minnesota?
#3 What famous civil rights case had its beginnings in Fort Snelling? (Hint: think 1850s)
#4 What Minnesota company invented Scotch Tape and Post-It notes?
#5 Name the fictional Minnesota town popularized by Garrison Keillor on Prairie Home Companion.
#6 What national discount store has its headquarters in Minneapolis, MN?
#7 Name the first Minnesotan to fly solo across the Atlantic to Europe.
#8 Name the football team of the University of Minnesota.
#9 What two municipalities comprise the "Twin Cities"?
#10 Can you name the architect who designed the Minnesota Capitol, the U.S. Supreme Court Building, and the Woolworth Building in New York?
#11 Name the famous Minnesotan author of the Great Gatsby.
#12 General Mills of Golden Valley created what fictional spokeswoman in the 1920s?
#13 Who is the current governor of Minnesota?
#14 What Minnesota native created the "Peanuts" comic strip?
#15 Name the largest shopping mall in Minnesota.
#16 What processed meat product invented in Austin, MN was re-popularized by e-mail?
#17 What Minnesota company manufactures not only high school and college class rings and other graduation products, but also the Super Bowl rings?
#18 What cartoon characters live in Frostbite Falls, MN?
#19 Name the first American to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. (Hint: think Main Street)?
#20 Name the famous medical clinic in Rochester, MN.
I missed #10 and #18. I don't know squat about architecture and I think I'm just a smidge too young to remember that show.

Yes, you are correct, it was easy for a Minnesotan. Plus, I'm a trivia geek anyway. I nailed them all, but still fun.
I throw one back at you, too: What national transportation service got its start in a Minnesota City? And, which city was it?
