70% off at Restaurant.com

Okay, here's a Black Friday sale I can get behind.  Go to Restaurant.com right now and order up a bunch of gift certificates.  When you're prompted for a discount code on the checkout page, use THANKS. Your total will drop by 70%

I just bought $70.00 in gift certificates to local restaurants for just $7.80.  Cowbell Kyle just tried it and got $85.00 in gift certificates for just $9.90.

Hurry!  This amazing promotion ends tomorrow.

(You also get a promo code emailed to you for $10 off at wine.com, but that does me little good as they can't ship to Minnesota.)

These are good deals -- but mind the restrictions on them. Some of them have special requirements (i.e. not valid on alcohol, requires purchase 2x amount of gift certificate, etc.).

Yep, all the standard restaurant.com rules apply, meaning you do have to make a minimum purchase, and some restaurants only allow certificates to be used during either lunch or dinner. But it's not fine print; all the details are right there next to each restaurant profile.

One thing worth noting: some of these specify a food purchase, presumably not including alcohol in the total.

But Keiran's, for example, does not.

So, $10 for the difference in the minimum purchase and $3.00 for the gift certificate gets you $35 in booze.

Bless you Alexis!
