Has anyone else moticed that Mary Lucia plays an average of one Sun Kil Moon song every day on The Current? I'm not complaining; I love the album. It's just surprising because I don't usually like her selections. She tends to play low and quiet music, which is not what I want to hear during drive time. Sun Kil Moon is certainly low and quiet, but I don't listen to them all the time, especially not for four hours through the lull of the weekday afternoon. Mary should switch time slots with Thorn, who's currently got the 9:00am-noon slot. He plays much more rockin' music (and, if memory serves, he was the drive time DJ at Rev 105).
As someone who more or less shops for a living, I can't think of a single thing more frustrating than finding the perfect beauty product, only to have it discontinued or no longer carried at a particular store. Alright, fine. I'm willing to admit that Target no longer carries Dentek mouthwash because, as my hairstylist pointed out, I was the only person in Minneapolis still buying it. However, I see no good reason why beauty superstore Ulta is no longer stocking the majority of the ISO hair care line. I need the Tamer! You don't understand! My hair looks ten times more fantastic with this amazing product. Thanks to Froogle, I found a good price at online retailer MonsterHair.com today. They're having a sale on select products this weekend only, with free shipping on orders over $25.00. ISO Tamer Smoothing Foam Gel is only $8.50. I'll take three, please.
Now I have little reason to continue shopping at Ulta. For one, the prices have gotten too high. Doing some cost-comparison recently, I noticed prices on certain lotions and makeup was 25% higher than good ol' Target, and these were everyday brands like Sally Hansen and Neutrogena. I do enjoy combing through the clearance once in a while, especially the salon products, but I'm done buying beauty staples there.
Whoa, there's a little blast from the past. Mary Lucia just played American Paint. I don't know what they're up to now, but eight years ago those guys could party.
Ja, Froogle rocks.
Speaking of hair, did you see Keira Knightly in that movie "The Jacket"? Hair dyed brown. I ask you.

I haven't seen it yet, but I think Keira Knightly is just stunning when all that brown hair is swept up off her face.
