I was all excited to get a good post up for Friday and the weekend because I have both a review of Spoon River and a good Reader Mailbag to write, but then this morning my back, neck, and shoulders all tensed up so badly that I can't sit at the computer for more than the three minutes it'll take me to type and publish this.
Anybody know a good walk-in massage place? Every joint I tried this afternoon couldn't get me in.
My youngest sister is a massage therapist; I believe she's the come-to-your-home type. I can give you her number.

They take walk-ins, but if you make an appointment with Kirsti by the end of July (and tell her David Grimmer sent you) you can get a pretty sweet discount since she's trying to build a new client base there. I can get you her e-mail address if you want it.

Not a massage rec, but a good tip--don't use a heating pad. It will only make the inflammation worse. Use ice packs.

Actually, the Great Metro Back Rub isn't in NE anymore, they're either in Uptown (@ 38th & Grand) or Highland Park (Cleveland and Ford Pkwy).
I'm sure that the Alexis has no shortage of gentlemen offering backrubs, however.

The Fix, talk to Larry, it's located right below our loft space. He's good.
