Northerners rejoice. Thom Pham is about to open a second Thanh Do in Anoka, a massive suburb with a serious lack of delicious local eateries.
Thom expects to do quite a bit of takeout business, just like at Thanh Do in St. Louis Park. The adult beverage licenses are all still being processed, but that won't stop Thom from opening as early as next Thursday the 19th (fingers crossed). The address is 3716 7th Avenue, Anoka MN.
La Belle Vie will be continuing last week's special Restaurant Week menu for the remainder of the month, Thursdays through Sundays.
Mill City Cafe is doing another customer appreciation night on Friday, March 20th. The Spring Fever Fling will set you back a mere $15.00, which includes light food, drinks and live music. 7:00pm-midnight.
The Sample Room (remember that place?) is now serving brunch on Saturdays in addition to Sundays. 10:00am-2:00pm.
Fugaise closes Saturday night, so you have four more chances to dine there before then. Chef Don Saunders was nice enough to give us a month's notice on the closing so we'd have time to enjoy his wonderful cuisine, so make sure you stop in to pay your respects.
Now I'll have somewhere to go for lunch besides Holiday. Well, on the days I'm not covered in machine oil and metal chips.

The SW exurbs are even more of a culinary wasteland. Maybe he should open his next one our in Shakopee or Prior Lake.
